So, so glad that all get to hear from my friend, Berta Hawley in the latest podcast episode. To put it simply: this girl is my hero.
Berta was born with holes in her heart & entered the foster care system at age 3. Despite both of these things challenging her ability to function while dealing with major heart surgeries, killer migraines that led to her to need to immediately leave school, and her parents struggling to stay stable through it all, this girl graduated high school in the spring & just started college this fall.
