professional experience
I am an Advanced Practice Social Worker and completed a clinical internship providing psychotherapy to those unable to leave their homes due to illness while receiving my MSW with a concentration in Behavioral Health. I spent two years as a full time volunteer and one year on staff with a local Catholic food pantry where I developed a mentoring program before spending time working as a counselor at a Catholic grade school. In addition to my ongoing studies and research on the topic, I have myself completed a number of pain management programs surrounding the relationship between the mind/body— though I don’t believe reversing any painful results of this is always simple. I believe that unmet needs are often behind behaviors that leave us empty, and that allowing uncomfortable parts of ourselves and our stories to be integrated into who we are transforms them into agents of connection and beauty. I strongly believe in the healing power of relationships. Though not always perfect, I have ultimately found my relationship with God to be what enhances my experiences of all of this while in the midst of my own suffering.
